About Huy M. Tran, M.D. FAAO

Dr. Tran spent most of his youth in Houston, Texas. After graduating, valedictorian from his high school class in 1987, he attended Harvard University in Cambridge, Massachusetts, where he graduated Magna Cum Laude.  He then returned to his native Texas to attend the University of Texas Southwestern Medical School in Dallas. His clinical training continued at Presbyterian Hospital at Dallas where he completed an internship in Internal Medicine. He next completed his ophthalmology training at the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio.  Dr. Tran has been in private practice in  Arlington since 1999, assuming a 30 year old practice after  the retirement of Dr. Bradford Davis.   Dr. Tran is the founder and director of Texas Eye Physicians, PA, a comprehensive ophthalmology practice.    He  specializes in no-stitch cataract surgery, customized LASER vision correction (LASIK and INTRALASE), RESTOR and TORIC lens implant, glaucoma and diabetic evaluation and LASER treatment, surgical lid rejuvenation, dry eye treatment, and other surgical ailments and disorders relating to the eyes and lids as well as contact lens fitting.   He is board certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology and is a Fellow of the American Academy of Ophthalmology.    His list of accomplishments include :  co-authored  important article in peer-reviewed professional journal,  voted  as "TOP DOC" in Tarrant County in the Fort Worth  magazine ( 2003, 2004).   He has been VISX and INTRALASE and LASIK certified to perform LASER vision correction for near-sightedness, farsightedness, and astigmatism since 2000.   Having made Southlake his home, he enjoys basketball, stocks, travel, and spending time with his wife, a Denton native, and two children.
